The Process
Once it's time to harvest, only the mature leaves of the cactus are cut from the organic ranch.
Then they are naturally dried under the sun for approximately 3 days, until achieving the exact humidity levels needed. This energy-efficient step is followed by shredding and then pulverizing the leaves, creating a thin powder.
Afterwards, Desserto®’s processes the raw material with their patented formula.
If there is any leftover materials or cactus, the “waste” is exported and sold nationally in the food industry - creating a truly symbiotic lifecycle.
